Phnom Penh
Phnom Penh sits where the Tonle Sap river meets the Mekong, and most of what visitors come for lies within walking distance of Sisowath Quay, the riverside promenade below the Royal Palace. Streets are numbered on a grid running back from the river, which makes it easy to judge how far a hotel really is from the waterfront.

Siem Reap is the town that serves the Angkor Archaeological Park, laid out along both banks of the Siem Reap River with the Old Market and Pub Street at its centre. Its airport moved in 2023 to a new site roughly 50 km out of town, so the transfer now matters as much as the temple pass when planning a stay.

Before choosing a room
Confirm early breakfast or packed breakfast arrangements when an included meal matters to an early start.
Compare the exact room category, including bed layout, cancellation terms and the full stay total. Hotel photographs may show several categories. If a detail matters to you, look for it in the room description or ask the property.
Where guest evidence is available, use it to investigate specific questions about the stay. Read the supporting comments and their dates. A neighbourhood description cannot establish how quiet an individual room will be.
